Meet Erin, a member of the IPC family!
Erin has been part of the Irish Pub Challenge for the past two years. In 2015 she was Co-Captain of Team ShamRocked (which rolled a record 250 people!), and in 2016 she became a part of the Irish Pub Challenge staff. Erin was a large contributor in coming up with fun ideas for last years scavenger hunt, helped out with Friday Night's Pre Party and was a part of the Staff at Ned Devine's to ensure all crawlers were registered and ready for the IPC!
On August 31, 2016, Erin was diagnosed with an aggressive form of HER2 Positive breast cancer. At only 32 years old, with no prior family history of cancer, the news was shocking. Erin is currently being treated at Dana Farber and is scheduled to undergo surgery in March, so it’s only fitting that the IPC is 100% behind her during this time. She has become part of our family and it’s the least we can do as she fights the toughest battle of her life.
Erin deserves and needs our love and support now more than ever. To everyone who has been sending their love and prayers, please know how much it means and how thankful Erin is to have your support.
As one of our featured charities, the IPC will donate a portion of every ticket, as well as additional donations/raffle tickets, to Erin’s Cancer Fund. Please know that any funds collected that Erin does not end up needing to cover medical costs will be donated to Dana Farber to help others in their fight against cancer. To help the cause, Tenon Tours has graciously donated a Free Trip to Ireland for the raffle, which you will automatically be entered into for a chance to win.
